3-6 Quick-Release Halyards

I used Harken H338 Micro Cam Cleats with H284 Wire fairleads. The cheek blocks are Harken H233 Micro Cheek blocks. This is a major improvement. My used mast came with cheek blocks which I relocated to the CB. The blocks and cleats make it easy to raise and lower the sails. This will be especially helpful when I begin single handing the boat.

3-7 Rudder Safety Stop

I opened up a ring ding into a curve with a loop on the end. I drilled a 1/16″ hole in the pintle and inserted the pin. I curved it to keeping it from hitting the transom when the rudder is turned. I attached a 1/16 cable to the loop and pulled it to the opposite side of the rudder and attached it under the wing nut on the rudder at the tiller. It works well. I used to use a string (shown) but  the wing nut wears out the string quickly. I replaced it with the wire cable.
